  2. Indeed they might have loved him. While I commemorate your charmed and earnest speech in which to court your wife, I cannot dote the ironic accusations of your farewell. Did you not accuse her of changing and "trampling" your feelings, when you yourself had affairs and misconceptions? Having lived with men all my life I have empathy for your situation, but none of my sympathy will conceal the obvious fallacy that both of you shall find fault in the other.
